Anyone who would like to recognize an educator, student, mentor, coach, team, school leader, or community member may submit a tribute.
Approved tributes are scheduled to appear in the special Salute to Excellence in Education section of The St. Louis American on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The ad submission deadline is Friday, September 26, 2026.
Yes. Text With Photo includes one personal photo, and Premium Tribute supports up to five photos. The person you’re honoring must appear in every submitted photo. Text Only does not include a photo.
Choose clear, well-lit photos that include the person you’re honoring. Portraits, selfies, group photos, candid moments, and celebration photos are welcome as long as the honoree appears in the photo. See the Photo Guidelines above for more examples.
Premium Tribute is a full-page tribute in the special section and includes an expanded message of up to 250 words, up to five personal photos, a custom-designed tribute layout, and a digital copy of the finished tribute emailed to you after it has been designed.
The St. Louis American Foundation will review the tribute and submitted materials before publication. Payment does not mean the tribute has automatically been approved.
If you need to request a change after submitting your tribute, contact the St. Louis American Foundation as soon as possible. Changes may not be possible after production deadlines.
